Here’s what Aldi’s Thanksgiving meal for 10 includes

With Thanksgiving about six weeks away, it’s never too early to start planning and making a shopping list for the big meal.

Nationwide grocer Aldi announced its Thanksgiving meal option is more “affordable” than last year. On Wednesday, Aldi, known as a no-frills grower and its own brands , revealed its Thanksgiving spread of products for a typical meal will cost $40 and feed ten people. That’s $7 less than Aldi’s 2024 “inflation-busting” holiday meal to feed 10 people touted as its lowest price since 2019.

“Thanksgiving is the biggest food holiday of the year, and ALDI is proud to lead the industry once again on price,” said Scott Patton CCO, ALDI U.S.

The savings, which works out to $4 per person, are on typical items to bring together a Thanksgiving meal that includes the turkey and nine side dishes.

Price reductions typically happen on seasonal items and pantry staples around major food holidays like Thanksgiving. The Aldi savings come at a time when overall food prices are up more than 3% from this time last year, according to the labor department’s August and most recent Consumer Price Index report.

“The ALDI commitment to low prices is unwavering and I am thrilled that we are able to offer an even more affordable holiday meal than last year,” said Atty McGrath, CEO, ALDI U.S. “Saving our shoppers money is our mission every day— but is especially important during the holidays when they need it most.”

Items factored into the cost of the Thanksgiving meal include these dishes:

  • 14 pound Jennie-O turkey
  • Rolls
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Mac and cheese
  • Mashed potatoes and gravy
  • Sweet potato casserole
  • Green bean casserole
  • Stuffing
  • Carrots
  • Pumpkin pie
