BlackBirdieBoutique Med Spa in Fort Worth | Beauty & Wellness

Located southwest of the Benbrook Traffic Circle, nestled in a business park off 4734 Benbrook Blvd., BlackBirdieBoutique offers a space where beauty and wellness converge. Founded by Kelly Griffin, a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience, this med spa is more than just a place for treatments — it’s a sanctuary. Kelly’s journey began in the high-pressure world of healthcare, where she’s gained experience in chemo, cardiac, and other critical hospital departments. But in 2018, seeking a fresh direction after raising her children, she decided to transition into a new chapter — one that blends her nurturing nature with a passion for beauty and wellness.

Originally known as Griffin’s Experience, BlackBirdieBoutique opened its doors in 2023, becoming a place where clients not only achieve their beauty goals but also experience genuine care and connection. Kelly still wears her nursing scrubs most of the week, but when she’s off the clock, she combines her medical expertise with personalized beauty treatments. From weight loss services and wellness programs to a range of beauty enhancements, BlackBirdieBoutique is dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best — inside and out.

BlackBirdieBoutique offers a variety of services designed to support clients on their journey to looking and feeling their best. Customized weight loss programs include options like Skinny Shots, Semaglutide, and infrared sauna sessions to help clients achieve and maintain their goals. Wellness programs are tailored to boost energy, rejuvenate the body, and restore balance through personalized plans that incorporate vitamins, minerals, and guided nutrition and exercise. For those seeking beauty enhancements, the boutique provides treatments such as lip enhancement, toxin injections, dermal fillers, PRP therapy, and more—with permanent makeup options for brows and lips coming soon.

The boutique’s name is a tribute to Kelly’s grandfather, who was of Cherokee, Apache, and Lakota descent – affectionately known as “Blackie” for his jet-black hair. The blackbird itself, for Kelly, represents family, freedom, and resilience — a reflection of the legacy she honors through her work.

The space is intentionally designed with moody, romantic elements — dark walls, soft lighting, and a touch of Gothic flair that evokes the French Quarter in New Orleans. This ambiance captures the soul of Kelly’s mother’s side of the family, rooted in rich history, mystery, and resilience. The boutique is not just a beauty destination, but a place where clients can feel at home, surrounded by a sense of authenticity and story.

Kelly’s commitment to a thoughtful, educational approach to beauty and wellness is what sets BlackBirdieBoutique apart from its competitors, she says. After becoming certified in aesthetics while continuing to work as a nurse, Kelly now specializes in services ranging from injectables to body sculpting — always focusing on natural, lasting results. Her particular passion lies in helping post-cancer patients with services like areola restoration and brow tattooing, allowing them to rediscover their reflection and regain confidence.

“I want to be kind of that liaison, to let [my clients] know it’s okay to not be perfect,” she says. “If you want to come in and be realistic, and maybe you have a goal for yourself, we’ll do everything we can to get you to that point. But be happy with who you are. That’s what I want to impart.”

Kelly’s approach is grounded in medical rigor and compliance. All services are provided under physician guidance, ensuring client safety and ethical standards — an especially important distinction in Texas, where regulations on aesthetic practices can be loose. For Kelly, it’s not about offering a quick fix — it’s about building long-term partnerships where clients can heal, grow, and embrace their natural beauty.

“As a nurse, you don’t really think about it necessarily until you see how it affects the patient emotionally and physically,” she says of her treatments. “But really, my client’s whole mental well-being is wrapped up in these things.”

Kelly’s husband, a former competitive bodybuilder, swears by the spa’s red-light therapy, praising its benefits for muscle recovery. This personal connection to the services is reflected in every aspect of the boutique, where Kelly’s attention to detail and deep care for each client shine through.

Since opening and moving into her second brick-and-mortar location in December 2023, BlackBirdieBoutique has become a grounded and evolving sanctuary — one where Kelly continues to learn and grow while offering clients a place to begin their own journey toward self-love and wellness.

For those seeking a deeper, more meaningful experience, BlackBirdieBoutique isn’t just about changing your appearance — it’s about reconnecting with yourself.

“I wanted this med spa to be a place where people felt comfortable coming back,” she says. “We don’t offer a quick fix for everything. What we do offer is a natural, regulated way for people to achieve their beauty goals. I’m not going to promise instant results, but I am willing to take the longer journey with you — which, in the end, yields better outcomes.”
