Friends, family and clients gather Thursday evening to celebrate the grand opening of her cosmetic spa Wild and Chic Co. Salon & Spa in St. Clairsville as she cuts the ribbon.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Lash extensions, cosmetic tattoos, spray tans and more are available at the Wild and Chic Co. Salon & Spa.

Owner Sadie Hobbs has been at the spa since March but officially had her grand opening Thursday evening at 51710 National Road in St. Clairsville.

Hobbs specializes in lash extensions, cosmetic tattooing, bridal makeup and spray tanning while other services will be offered at her spa, including a tanning bed, nail services, pedicures, permanent jewelry and mini tattooing.

Hobbs started at the spa in March and started accepting clients around April.

“I’m hoping this grand opening will get my name out there a little bit more,” she said. “So then we can actually be a full running place. It’s just been kind of me recently, getting everything done.

“I’ve had a pretty steady clientele, and they’ve all supported me through this whole thing,” she said. “And none of that would have been possible without them and my friends and my family, so just them supporting me.”

Hobbs emphasized the business is not a hair salon with no hair services offered but more of a cosmetic spa.

Hobbs graduated from South Hills Beauty Academy and always knew she wanted her own business. She has been working in the beauty industry for a couple years now, she said. She worked in a couple other salons and worked her way up to owning her own.

“I’ve always wanted to start my own business,” she said. “I just really want to create a space that’s welcoming to everybody in the industry, and they can come here and just have a safe space for people to just come and relax.”

Hobbs enjoys meeting all of the new people and connecting with clients and making them feel good about themselves. She said she wants her business to provide the absolute best, relaxing experience possible, and give clients a place that is their getaway space.

She plans to open her own retail store as part of the salon as well before the new year, where other licensed professionals in the area can pick up products they need.

Wild and Chic Co.’s mission is to “Foster an uplifting, encouraging atmosphere where both clients and team can flourish. We’re passionate about creating an environment where creativity thrives, and our clients feel their absolute best. Whether you’re here for a quick treatment or a complete makeover, our salon is committed to delivering exceptional results, every time.”

Hobbs said people can book appointments by coming into the spa or by booking online at the website, msha.ke/wildandchicco.

“I’m just excited that I’ve made it to this point and just to show everybody the space that I’ve created,” Hobbs said. ” … So I just want everybody to just come and go around and just enjoy the space that I’ve created, really celebrate.”
